Old char story for original Brodston!

Well this is actualy my character story from my old character before when I was a warior anti-paladin and a seanchan. I spellchecked it but I can't spell worth a damn so forgive me.


BRODSTON SETZ

HAIR: OILY, BLACK, PULLED BACK, STRAIT DOWN PAST THE SHOLDERS
SKIN: PALE WHITE LIKE A GHOST
EYES: LEFT DARK GRAY AND RIGHT PALE BROWN CHIN: THINK OF BRUCE CAMBEL BODY: BROAD SHOULDERED, TALL, LEGS LIKE TREE TRUNKS AND AMRS TO MATCH WORN: DEEP GRAY ROBE, GREEN VEST OF CROC SCALES, BREASTPLATE OF ADAMANTINE, CLAWS OF A PANTHER, SILVER COLLAR AROUND NECK, BLOOD STAINED BOOTS, SILVER LEG GREIVES, 2 RINGS OF BLACK WITH A RUBY SET IN 1, BONE BRACELET AND GREEN BRACELET, AND WEARS A LARGE SHIELD OF THE BLACK WOLF. ON HIS BACK YOU CAN SEE A DEEP RED 2-HANDED BATTLE AX HANGING. WEAPONS WIELDED: A LONG BLACK BASTARD SWORD THAT TO MOST MEN WOULD BE A 2-HANDED WEAPON BUT HE WIELDS IT WITH ONE HAND
SCARS: A SCAR ON HIS FORE HEAD THAT STILL HAS SOME BONE SHOWING IN A ROUGH CUT CIRCLULAR SHAPE. IT IS LARGE AND DISGUSTING


BACKGROUND:
BRODSTON WAS BORN INTO SLAVERY BY A MOTHER AND FATHER WHO HAD BEEN SLAVES OF A NOBEL FAMILY FOR SEVERAL YEARS. HE WAS TAUGHT BY HIS FATHER HOW TO FIGHT IN THE WOODS NEAR THIR MASTER'S KEEP UNTIL HE WAS SEVEN YEARS OLD WHEN THE HEAD OF THE NOBLE FAMILY DISCOVERED THEM. ON THAT BLOODY DAY THE HEAD OF THE FAMILY WHO OWNED HIS FAMILY CAUGHT THEM IN THE WOODS. HE HAD HIS GUARDS TAKE HIS FATHER INTO CUSTODDY AND SENT HIS MASTER OF ARMS TO GET HIS MOTHER. BROSTON WATCHED IN HORROR AS THEY COOKED HIS MOTHER AND FATHER ALIVE OVER AN OPEN FLAME. THEY THEN FORCED HIM TO EAT THEIR BURNT FLESH AND GAVE THE REST TO THE HOUSE SLAVES. BRODSTON ON THAT DAY WAS BRANDED, WITH A HOT IRON A FAMILY CREST ON HIS FOREHEAD. IT SYMBALIZED HIS ETERNAL SLAVERY TO THE FAMILY. BRODSTON WAS THEN PUT IN THE FAMILY STABLES WHERE HE SPENT THE NEXT 7 YEARS SHOVELING SHIT AND TENDING TO THE VICIOS DEMON HORSES THEY RAISED.

IN THE TIME HE SPENT AT THE STABLES THE HEAD NOBLE WATCHED HIM CLOSELY AND BEGAN TO SEE HOW VIGILANT HE WAS AT HIS WORK AND HOW LOYAL HE APEARED TO BE. HE ON COUNTLES OCCASIONS TESTED HIS LOYALTY THRU LEAVING HIM WAYS TO ESCAPE AND MEANS TO HURT THE FAMILY. ON NO OCCASION DID HE OFFER ANY SIGN OF BETRAYAL. THEN DURING A RAID ON THE FARM BY A RIVAL HOUSE HE SAW BRODSTON PICK UP A SWORD AND ASSIST THE GUARDS IN PROTECTING THE FAMILY. AFTER SUCH DEDICATED SERVICE HE BEGAN TO FEEL LIKE HE WOULD MAKE A GOOD SERVANT FOR HIS NEXT CHILD. THRU ALL THE HEAD OF THE FAMILIES OBSERVATION OF BRODSTON HE NEVER SHOWED HIS TRUE FEELINGS AND HATE FOR THE FAMILY. EACH NIGHT HE WOULD DREAM OF THE DAY WHEN HE COULD TAKE HIS REVENGE FOR HIS PARENTS AND HIS SLAVERY.

ON A DARK NIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER ONE OF THE LORDS WIFES GAVE BIRTH TO A GRAY HAIRED SON WHICH HE NAMED SETZ. THE LORD BROUGHT BRODSTON FORTH TO WATCH THE BIRTHING AND AT THAT TIME ANOUNCED TO EVERYONE IN THE HOUSE THAT BRODSTON WOULD BE SETZ PROTECTOR AND CAREGIVER. DURING THE FAMILIES BIRTHING RITUAL THE BLOOD OF THE BIRTH WAS SMEARED UPON THE MARK OF THE FAMILY ON BRODSTON'S HEAD AND BRODSTON WAS CHRISTINED BRODSTON SETZ. DURING THE NEXT SEVEN YEARS BRODSTON CARED FOR THE EVERY NEED OF SETZ AND WAS FURTHER TRAINED BY THE HOUSES WEAPON MASTER IN WAYS TO PROTECT SETZ. BRODSTON EVEN LEARNED HOW TO READ AND WRITE DURING SETZ EARLY CLASSES ON BASIC EDUCATION AND SORCERY. BRODSTON AND SETZ BECAME AS MUCH FRIENDS AS A SLAVE AND MASTER COULD BECOME. BRODSTON GREW INTO A MASSIVE HALF-GIANT OF A MAN WITH LONG FLOWING BLACK HAIR WHICH HE KEPT PULLED BACK. ON SOME OCASIONS SETZ WOULD EVEN TELL HIM OF SECRETS LIKE THE FACT THAT HIS FATHER HAD BEEN A SEANCHAN BEFORE HE WAS CAPTURED BY THEIR FAMILY. YET EVEN WITH THEIR TRUST HE WOULD NEVER TELL BRODSTON HIS TRUE FAMILY NAME. THOUGH HE BECAME VERY FOND OF SETZ DURING ALL THE YEARS HE SPENT RAISING HIM HE STILL COULD NOT GET OVER, NOR DID HE WANT TO GET OVER THE HATERED HE HAD FOR THE FAMILY.

ON THE DAY OF SETZ SEVENTH BIRTHDAY AN OPERTUNITY CAME UP THAT BRODSTON COULDN'T PASS UP. THE MAJORITY OF THE FAMILY INCLUDING THE WEAPON MASTER AND THEIR ARMY WERE TO GO TO A COUNSEL OF HOUSES CONSERNING SETZ'S NEXT YEARS OF EDUCATION. ALL THAT WAS LEFT AT THE HOUSE WAS BRODSTON AND SZET, A SKELETON CREW OF SLAVE WARIORS AND THE HEAD OF THE HOUSE. THE ONLY REASON THE HEAD OF THE HOUSE DID NOT ATTEND WAS HE WAS NEAR DEATH DUE TO A VICIOUS DROCONIC PARASITE THAT HAD INVADED HIS BODY DURING A RECENT TRIP TO THE FAR EAST. BRODSTON THUS MADE A DEAL WITH THE HEAD SLAVE WARIOR THAT IF HE AND HIS MEN WOULD FLEE THE KEEP THEN THEY COULD BE FREE AND ALL THE HEAT WOULD BE ON HIM. THE LEADER OF THE WARIORS AGREED AND ORDERED ALL OF HIS MEN TO FLEE AND TAKE THEIR FREEDOM. THOSE WHO CHOSE NOT TO BE FREE WERE KILLED ON THE SPOT BEFORE THE OTHERS LEFT.

AFTER ALL THAT WAS LEFT IN THE HOUSE WAS BRODSTON, SZET, AND THE HEAD OF THE FAMILY BRODSTON ENTERED THE MASTERS ROOM. THE MASTER WAS SOUND ASLEEP IN HIS BED DUE TO THE MEDICINES USED FOR HIS COMFORT. BRODSTON WAS NOT AFRAID OF THE MASTER AT ALL DUE TO THE FACT HE DIDN'T HAVE THE STREGNTH TO EVEN HOLD HIS OWN DAGGER. HE QUICKLY RECITED A SCROLL OF SILENCE ON THE MASTER AND BOUND HIS HANDS AND FEET TO THE BED. THE MASTER AWOKE ONLY TO FIND BRODSTON STANDING OVER HIM WITH A DAGGER IN HIS RIGHT HAND. WHEN THE MASTER REALIZED HOW HE WAS BOUND AND SILENCED HE IMIDEATLY KNEW HE WAS DEAD. THE BRODSTON BENT DOWN TO THE MASTERS HEAD AND WHISPERED TO HIM WHAT HE WAS TO DO TO HIS SON SZET. THE MASTERS EYES GLOWED BRITE WITH ANGER AND FEAR AT THE WORDS BUT THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO. BRODSTON THEN PLUNGED A POISION TIPPED DAGER INTO THE MASTERS CROUCH. HE KNEW THAT THE FAMILY WOULD BE BACK IN ABOUT TWO HOURS AND THAT THE POISON WOULD LET THE MASTER LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO TELL THEM WHAT HAD HAPPEND. WITH HIS JOB COMPLETE IN THE MASTERS CHAMBERS HE PROCEEDED TO SZETS ROOM AND INFORMED HIM THAT THEY HAD TO LEAVE THE HOUSE IMIDIATELY BECAUSE A ROUGE FAMILY HAD ENTERED THE HOUSE AND THEIR ONLY HOPE WAS TO HIDE IN THE JUNGLE BEYOND THE WOODS BEHIND THEIR HOUSE TILL THE REST OF THE FAMILLY RETURNED.

BRODSTON AND SETZ FLEED THE HOUSE AND RAN FAR FROM THE SOUND AND SIGHT OF THE SOUROUNDING HOUSES. THEY COVERED THEIR TRACKS BY RUNNING THRU A STREAM THRU THE JUNGLE UNTIL BRODSTON WAS SECURE IN THE FACT THAT THE WEPON MASTER AND HIS ARMY COULD NOT TRACK THEM. THEY SET UP CAMP IN A DEEP BLACK CAVE AND BUILT A CAMP FIRE. BRODSTON INSISTED THAT SZET GET SOME SLEEP DUE TO THE FACT THAT IN THE MORNING THEY WOULD HAVE TO RETURN TO TOWN AND ASSIST THE FAMILY IN RETAKING THEIR HOUSE. BRODSTON SET WATCH TILL SZET WAS COMPLETLY ASLEEP AND THEN HE MADE HIS MOVE. HE QUICKLY BOUND SZET WITH ROPE AND TOOK SZETS DAGGER FROM HIS BELT. SZET AWOKE DUE TO HIS ONLY WEAPON BEING TAKE FROM HIS BELT TO FIND HE COULD NOT MOVE. HE IMIDIATLY SAW BRODSTON SETTING BESIDE THE FIRE SETTING UP A ROASTING PIT. HE IMIDIATLY YELLED WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS YOU UNGRATEFULL SLAVE LET ME FREE. BRODSTON MOVED CLOSE TO SZET AND SAID THE ONLY WORDS THAT HE COULD THINK OF, REVENGE. BRODSTON TOOK A LONG ROASTING PIKE AND BOUND SZET TO IT. SZET THEN REALIZED WHAT HE INTENDED TO DO WITH HIM AND BEGAN PLEADING FOR HIS LIFE. BRODSTON PAID NO HEED TO HIS RANTINGS AND PROCEEDED TO CUT THE CLOTHES OFF THE CHILD AND PLACE HIM OVER THE FIRE. SZET LET OUT A BLOOD CURDLING SCREAM AT THE TOUCH OF THE FLAMES TO HIS BARE FLESH AND PLEADED FOR HIS YOUNG LIFE. YET BROSTON STILL PAID NO ATTENTION TO HIM AND SLOWLY BEGAN TO ROTATE HIM OVER THE FLAME. BRODSTON WOULD CUT CHUNKS OF COOKED FLESH OFF THE BOYS BODY WHILE HE SCREAMED AND EAT IT INFRONT OF HIS EYES. FINALY WITH ONE LAST WISP OF A SCREAM THE BOY SURCUM TO THE FIRE. BRODSTON EVILY ENJOYED HIS MEAL OF FLESH AND BEGAN CHOPPING PEACES OF HIM UP AND STORING IT IN HIS PACK. AFTER HIS JOB WAS DONE WITH THE MEAT HE TOOK THE CHILDS DAGER AND CUT THE MARK OF THE FAMILY FROM HIS FOREHEAD. HE HAD TO DIG THE TIP OF THE BLADE DOWN TO THE BONE OF THE SKULL TO GET IT TO COME OFF AND USED A PIECE OF HOT METAL TO CARTERISE THE REMAINING FLESH.

AT DAWNS BREAK HE BEGAN A LONG TRIP THRU THE JUNGLE IN SEARCH OF HIS TRUE CLAN, THE SEANCHANS. HE WOULD ENTER TOWNS AT NIGHT AND LOOK FOR SIGNS OF WHERE HE COULD FIND THE ARMY OF THE SEANCHANS. HE SOON FOUND THAT FEW WERE WILLING TO TALK OF THE SEANCHANS ARMY THAT THEY CALLED THE EVERVICTORIUS ARMY. BUT THEN HE GOT LUCKY AND WANDERED INTO A BATTLE THAT WAS TAKING PLACE ON THE PLAINS PAST DROW. TWO ARMIES WERE FIGHTING ONE ANOTHER AND HE RECOGNIZED THE FLAG OF ONE OF THEM AS THE EVERVICTORIOS ARMY OF SEANCHAS. HE IMIDIATLY JUMPED INTO THE HEAT OF BATTLE ASSISTING THE ARMY OF HIS FATHER AND STRIKING DOWN IT'S ENEMY. THE LEADER OF THE SEANCHANS ARMY SAW HIM FIGHTING ALONGSIDE HIS MEN WITH MORE BRUTALITY THAN HE HAD SEEN IN ALL THE YEARS HE HAD BEEN WITH THE ARMY. AFTER THE LAST OF THE ENEMIES ARMY HAD BEEN SLAYED THE LEADER TOLD HIS MEN TO SURROUND BRODSTON. HE IMIDIATLY APROACHED BRODSTON AND SAID WHAT RIGHT DO YOU HAVE TO FIGHT ALONG SIDE US SEEKER. BRODSTON IMIDIATLY FELL TO HIS KNEES AND SAID MY FATHER WAS A SEANCHAN THOUGH I KNOW NOT MY FAMILY NAME. HE AND MY MOTHER WERE TAKEN AS SLAVES DURING AN ATTACK ON YOU AND I WAS BORN IN SLAVERY. I HAVE SOUGHT YOUR EVERVICTORIOUS ARMY TO EITHER JOIN YOU OR DIE BY YOUR BLADES. THE LEADER HAVING SEEN HIM FIGHT CONSIDERED FOR A MOMENT AND THEN ANNOUNCED WE ACCEPT YOU. WITH THAT SAID ALL THE SOLDIERS OF THE ARMY BOWED THREE TIMES AND SHOUTED IN A UNHOLLY BATTLE CRY IN HOPE OF A BETTER NAME YOU ARE ONE OF US NOW.

Money splitter for groups

Hey I know most people already have this trigger since it is in the zmudd help file but for those who don't here you go. Also for those who don't know how this needs to be done I'll explain it. First you need to create a new class. Name it autosplit. Now that you have your new class single click on the folder. You should see 2 tabs in the folder. One will be named properties and the other will be named class script. Click on class script. Now past the following in there.

Ok now we want to create a button for this. 1st create a new button. 1st lets make this a toggle button. Select kind and select toggle. Next we are going to enter the caption. Use something like this ($$-No Split). If you click on the small color squar at the end of the line you can set you text and back ground color. I tend to put my back ground to black, my button off text to red, and my button on text to green. Now that we got the caption entered we want to fill in the value. We are going to us the #T+ and #T- functions. Basicly what these functions do is turn on and turn off. We are going to be turning on and off the class autosplit when we use the button. Now I like to use emotes so that if I'm in a group then everyone will see I just turned something on. Here is what my value area looks like. (note you can change the text after emote to your liking buy make sure you don't mess with the #T+ or #T-)

Now that that is done lets change button states from button up to button down. Basicly we just entered the off comand and now we are going to work on the on command. We don't have to set the kind on this side because we have already set it. 1st lets enter the caption. I use $$-Split in green letters with black background. Next lets enter the value. Change you emote if desired but this is what I use.

Just for your future referance. You may have noticed that we put the turning on commands on the off button and the turning off commands on the on button. The reason you do this is because when you click the button it executes the command. You click on $$-No Split and it sends the commands {emote is sharing the spoils of war!;#t+ autosplit} and your button changes to the down display. Well I hope this helps some of you who are not so familure with buttons. Well Good hunting.

Trigger for the hunt command

Hey I added an extra trigger to the class. It is highlighted in red below.

Hi all,
Since I returned to playing AOC I've been using a ranger. This is my first ranger so I'm just experimenting with him. I like the hunt command but wish I didn't have to hit the enter key over and over again. I also wanted to kill the monster when I found him so I made a trigger to help me out. Well here it is. I just finished it today so if I have anyproblems with it I'll post it here and fix it. I hope ya'll like it. To use this just type hunt mobname and you will hunt it until you are at it and then kill it. I Put this trgger under a button so that I could toggle it on and off. I use the hunt command sometimes to hunt other char in my area and I don't want to kill them. So be warned make sure you type a good amount of the mobs name to make sure you don't attack another char. Also strongly suggest you set this up under a button. If you don't know how to make buttons read my autosplit trigger and you should be able to figure it out. Well good hunting.

door open/unlock trig

Hey haven't posted in a couple days, sorry. I've been getting my character to trans. Well today I'm going to talk about door trigs. I've got a good working one that works with multiple doors in a room. Its simple so here goes.

Brodston's autolooter trigger

I know this trig needs more work and am planing on working on it more just have been getting a char built up lately. Keep checking and maybe it will be complete soon. OH and thanx eglin for the | help.

Hey I've added some more to my loot trig. Now you can have it autoloot the corpse for specifics.

Just fill in the #VAR with one word terms you want it to get from the corpse. In the example above it has adam(1)ring(1)etc(1). It is not fool proof, but works pretty good. The reason I say it isn't fool proof is because it will loot anything that has that one word in it. example: you are wanting silver staff's but it will loot anything that has the word staff in it. You could get it to loot the silver staff by using the keyword silver though. Its not fail safe but it is easier than looting everything and having to go thru what you got manualy. Also another note below is the whole trigger I am using.

There is a chance if you already have say a whip (Sorry Piper) in your inventory before selling, it will sell your whip. The way this trigg works is when you loot something it will take the last word before from a corpse and add it too a string list. Then when you go to a shop you type sellall which is an alias it sells all the items from the string list. So basicly what I'm trying to say is make sure that you put all the things you want to keep in a container. But also before you sell make sure you type the allias loot to make sure that you haven't looted say a bag and you already had a bag in you invontory. If you want to keep your bag you need to use the alias lootdel XXXX where XXXX is equal to the item you dont want to sell. Example: lootdel wand. This will that the keyword wand out of your loot list. If you have multipal wands that you want to keep then you will have to type that for as many wands as you looted. If it is just one wand you want to keep then you put that wand in a container that you have not looted this round of money running or drop prior to sell and pick up after wards. Remember check your loot alias before selling all and check you inventory to make sure that you haven't been disarmed or anything like that. Well good luck and good hunting.
